Cat Cora Epicure Event

The Granada was a buzz with the anticipated arrival of Cat Cora for a very intimate conversation. There were about 125 seats in the upstairs foyer. Downstairs the event included three restaurants, local chefs Brian Parks (Coast Restaurant in the Canary Hotel), Brenda Simon (The Museum Café) and John Pettitt (Seagrass Restaurant), who made three recipes from Cat Cora's original recipe book.

All attendance were very friendly and I was very busy pouring wines from Whitcraft Winery. The Whitcraft Pinot went quickly as one of the favorites of the evening and their Chardonnay was quite good as well. I also poured their Zinfindel. The flow of people to the bar was steady and they were all in great humor.

After everyone went up to hear the "intimate conversation", I had the opportunity to taste the three dishes. All were great choices from her appetizer lists, but my favorite was the Watermelon Gazpacho from Brian Parks and the Coast Restaurant.

Great night and would like to thank Mary Lynn and Georgette from the Downtown Organization for a great experience.
